Project Background

From Empty Commercial Space to Regional FEC Destination

The client wanted one destination venue capable of attracting families, teenagers and corporate groups in the Romanian market.

A 2,100㎡ regional family entertainment center (FEC) engineered for Gen Z groups, B2B corporate events and weekend family crowds.

Designing a 2100㎡ multi-attraction venue requires moving away from static arcade rows and uncoordinated activity blocks. To maximize commercial profitability, equipment selection must be directly tied to dwell time and peak-hour throughput.

NextPlay engineered the complete equipment matrix and spatial layout for Project 2100, pairing high-margin anchor attractions (duckpin bowling, cage sports court) with fast-reset entertainment rigs (wireless VR battle arena, digital shooting gallery, 3-DOF motion simulators).

The equipment package was planned around a unified commercial layout, with anchor attractions, competition zones and social areas working together instead of operating as isolated product blocks.

Operational Bottlenecks

Why Traditional 2000㎡+ Venue Layouts Lose Money

Uncoordinated attraction ratios lead to queue bottlenecks, dead floor space, and missed secondary spend opportunities.

01

Floor Space Bloat & Non-Revenue Aisle Losses

Generic arcade layouts often waste up to 30% of floor space on oversized non-revenue aisles and low-draw single-player cabinets.

02

Peak-Hour Queue Bottlenecks & Slow Ride Resets

Attractions with slow session reset times (over 5 minutes per group) create long queues, driving player walkouts during peak weekend hours.

03

Single-Demographic Dependency

Venues relying purely on kids' play or pure arcade games struggle to capture high-spending corporate groups and weekend social outings.

04

Fragmented Hardware Maintenance Overhead

Sourcing from 10+ uncoordinated factories results in mismatched spare parts, disparate power wiring, and long machine downtime.

Commercial Layout Strategy

Why This Layout Works

The venue combines three complementary roles: anchor attractions to motivate visits, competition zones to encourage repeat play, and social areas to extend stays and secondary spending.

01

Anchor Attraction

VR and bowling create strong visit motivation and higher-value group sessions.

02

Competition Zone

Shooting, darts and sports games support repeat customers and team competition.

03

Social Zone

Rest, party and F&B spaces help extend customer stays and secondary spending.

Revenue Optimization

Four Operational Layout Pillars

We turn complex commercial park planning into structured, high-yield execution backed by factory-direct manufacturing.

High-Yield Footprint Allocation

Strategic zoning placing high-turnover arcade rigs near entrances while anchoring long-dwell attractions (bowling, lounge) deeper in the park.

3-Minute Reset Cycle Rigs

Deploying wireless VR arenas and digital sports systems engineered for rapid 3-minute player resets during high-density weekend hours.

Multi-Demographic Revenue Mix

Combining youth trend arcades, B2B cage sports courts, and corporate bowling lounges to ensure continuous weekday and weekend revenue.

Single-Base Technical Infrastructure

Unified power-rail partitioning, standardized wiring looms, and consolidated maintenance spares across all 35 product categories.

Equipment Matrix

35+ Equipment Lines — 100% Self-Supplied

Pre-tested equipment lineup engineered for fast throughput, high retention, and low maintenance friction.
